Carl Sandburg

American poet, biographer, journalist, editor and children's book author
Author of "Corn Huskers" (for which he won a Pulitzer Prize for Special Citations in 1919), "Abraham Lincoln: The War Years" (for which he won a Pulitzer Prize for History in 1940) and "The Complete Poems of Carl Sandburg" (for which he won a Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1951)
Awarded the Robert Frost Medal in 1952
